Robert Ferris
Past Post Quartermaster - Navy
It is with a heavy heart that we have to report that one of our World War II members, and our Post Quartermaster, Robert Ferris, has been called to the Lord. Bob served in the Navy, during WW II as a Parachute Rigger. After the war, Bob worked for Spencer Gifts until he retired. Bob, was our Post QM for many years and always made sure that the Post's financial position was under control. He was always there to assist the Post in whatever was needed. Bob also will be remembered for his love of music and as the leader of the Bob Ferris Band. The band would perform all over Atlantic County, and especially in Brigantine, every year and brought joy to everyone who listened to their music. Bob was an outstanding member of our Post and a valued friend. Rest in Peace Bob! Until we all meet again.
