Hello from Base Camp V!


We hope that everyone had a Wonderful Easter and Passover and enjoyed the nice weather. This week's weather has been Wonderful, but it looks like rain Saturday and Sunday.

Attention Veterans! The VA is starting to accept all Veteranssome spouses and caregivers, for Covid-19 inoculations. For more information, Logon to and click on the ANNOUNCEMENTS to read the procedures, or you can call the Wilmington VAMC, at 302-633-5200

VFW Post 6964 is preparing for our First Annual "Fish Around the Clock Flounder Fiasco'', starting on Friday, June 25th., at 12:01 AM and ending Sunday, June 27th. at 12:00 noon.  The tournament will benefit the VFW National Children's Home, in Michigan. All contestants must Register, and Weigh-ins recorded, at the RipTide Bait & Tackle shop. Prizes will be given for the top 3 finishers, with the Best Three Fish Total Weight. So mark your calendars and get the Rod's and Reels ready, to see who has what it takes to be Number 1. The Ceremony and Awards will be held afterwards at the Post at 1PM. Entry Fee is $60.00 per Boat (4 person Max) or $30.00 for Surf Anglers.



Brigantine Memorial Post No. 6964 is Openfor all VFW Members and their Guests, daily from 11 AM.  Our Post  follows all required Social Distancing regulations between Individuals and Groups. Please Enter the Post at the Front Entrance. All Patrons must wear their Mask when entering the Post, and only remove their Mask while seated.  Remember, Good Food and Good Friends Make for a Great Time at the V.

Members, our next meeting will be held at the Post on  Thursday, May 6th., starting at 7 PM. Please make every effort to attend as we will be swearing in the 2021-2022 Officers. 

Beverly has another great menu for this week's Friday Night Dinner, that is Open To The Public, starting at 5:30 PM. So, plan to stop by and enjoy a Great Meal with Family and Friends. If your schedule doesn't allow you to eat at the V, you can call for a Take Out Order On Saturday evenings, you can stop by for a Great Hamburger Platterand/or other surprise items, starting at 6 PM. Please call the Post after 5:30, at 609-266-9813, to see what's on the menu or place your Take Out order.

Don’t forget to stop by the Post on Monday nights and play Free Bingo! There's food to eat and prizes to be won. And, it’s a great way to get out of the house for a few hours and relax with family and friends. This may be your Lucky week to be a winner. First call is at 7 PM, so make sure you get there early!
