 Hello from Base Camp V!


The Officers and Members of Post 6964 and Auxiliary, would like to Thank Our Community for your participation and support, in the Week long St. Patrick's Day celebration. Our Island really came out to the various week long activities, and even though the parade had to be postponed for a week, everyone had a wonderful time.  A Special Thank You to the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Brigantine and all of the Businesses, for their work in planning this great event. Lets hope this week long celebration will become a yearly event!  

 

Post Members, our next Meeting is April 6th., Starting at 6:30! Please make every effort to attend this meeting, as we will be electing the 2023-2024 Officers and Trustee's. The Post Auxiliary Members meeting is, Tuesday, April 11th., starting at 4:30 PM.

 

Our Post Opens at 1PM Monday thru Friday, and 12PM, on Saturday and Sunday, for all VFW Members, and their Guests. The Post is now serving1/4 lb. Hot Dogs", from 1 to 4:30, Every Day, Monday thru Saturday, and All-Day Sunday

 

On Wednesday'sJoe, will be serving $1.00 Hot Dogs, and $5.00 Mouth Watering Hamburgers. Plus, Joe will have an array of Finger foods, for all to enjoy!


Our Post offers dining on Friday evening & Saturday afternoon, and is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  Friday's Dining is from 5:30 to 8:30PM, in the Banquet Hall, with various appetizers, entree's and deserts.

 

OSaturday afternoonAppetizers, Sandwiches & Burgers, are available in the Canteen, from 4-8 PM.  You can see the weekend Menu's on the Weekend Menu Slider, that scrolls by when you go to the Home Page.  Feel free to contact the Post to place a Take-Out Order, at 609-266-9813

Upcoming Events

 

Wednesday, March 29th.: National Vietnam Veterans Day This event is Open to All Veterans!  Happy Hour from 5:30 to 7PM. Food will be provided by the Post. We will  be hosting a VFW Membership Drive, for all Veterans who qualify (Please bring a copy of your DD-214). And finally, a Veterans Service Officer will be available to assist you about, What, as a Veteran, You May Be Entitled Too(e.g. VA Medical,  VA Compensation, understanding the PACT Act, or Housing etc.).


Veterans, Please Do Not Miss This Event!

 

 

Friday, May 19th.: Our Post will be hosting the Red Cross Blood Drive. Last year, our Brigantine family donated 64 Pints of the Gift of Life!  The drive is being held in our Banquet room from 10 AM to 3 PM. St.  It's in Your Blood to Help Save a Life! Look for our Flyer!


 

Thursday, May 25th.: The 2nd. Annual Post 6964 Golf Outing at the Brigantine Golf Links!  If you are a golfer, this is the Event to Enter!  Registration starts at 7:30 AMPre Tee off food will be available (Bagels, Donuts, Cookies, Coffee, Juice, Water, etc.), followed by Our National Anthem, at 8:45. Tee Off is at 9AM.  Lunch will start at 2PM, followed by the Award Presentations.  The Registration Deadline is May 1, 2023.  We hope that this year will be even better than last year!

 Our Post's Weekly Events

On Monday evenings, starting at 6:30, stop by the Post and get together with Family and Friends, playing Free Bingo, at Barbara's Bingo Parlor.  Plan to arrive early and get a good seat.  A Friendly Donation Buffet is available, during the intermission.  It's a great way to laugh and have a good time with family and friends, especially this time of year.

 

On Tuesday evenings, join in playing Trivia at Mercedes House of Questions! Games begin at 6:30 PM and end at 9:30 PM. So round up your family and friend's, make a team and see who walks away with the Prizes! It's really a lot of fun!

 

Calling all Pool Shooters. Stop by the Post Thursday eveningto play some Three Ball!  It's a lot of fun for men and women! Food starts at 5:30 and the First Rack starts at 6:30.
