 Hello from Base Camp V! 


Post Members, our next meeting is Thursday, June 5th., starting at 6:30 sharp!  Please make every effort to attend every meeting! Participation and Volunteering, is Always Needed to Keep and Maintain the High Standard we strive for, as we continue assisting Our Veterans, the Men & Women on Active Duty and their Families, and Our Community Members, who May Need Assistance.  We want to keep our Post the Best in Atlantic County!

Friday Night Dinner

 
Our Post offers Fine Dining every Friday evening, that is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!  Dining Hours are4 PM to 8:30 PM, in the Banquet Hall and Canteen. The Dinner Menu, includes various appetizers, entrees, sides, and deserts, to treat your palate.  So make plans to stop by and enjoy a Nice Dinner, Music and Beverages, with Family and Friends! The V is the Place To B!

Post Banquet Hall Rental

 Our Post’s Banquet Room is available to the PUBLIC to RENT.  Call the Post at 609-266-9813, leave your name and phone number, and a House Committee Representative will get back to you, as soon as possible. We want to assist you in planning and making "Your Special Event" Come True.  Look on our website's Gallery to see some pictures of different types of events that have been held at our Banquet Room.

Well the Phillies have been playing excellent ball so far this season and are running neck and neck with the Mets, for the best record in the National League. Lets root them on!

 So stop by the Vwatch the Games, Enjoy some food, and Liquid Refreshment!

Upcoming Events    

 Are you ready to get this summer party started?   

We have a tremendously busy week to kick off the VFW Summer.   We hope you will spend each day with us, remembering and honoring our Memorial Day heroes.

The Golf Fundraiser Committee is ready to deliver a first class event!!   The raffle prizes are ready, the golfer swag bags are packed, and 120 golfers have finished that last lesson with the golf pro so they don't embarrass themselves in front of friends.   Thursday May 22 at The Brigantine Links golf course.    
  • If you have a gift for the silent auction, please make us aware you will donate a gift.   We can still squeeze you in, but you must act now!  This is a great way for any small business to get visibility to the Community and support Veterans.
  • We also have sponsorship opportunities.    More than a financial contribution, you can make a significant contribution to this event.   Contact the VFW for details.  

Monday is a great day to visit the Post and beat the Monday Blues!!   Monday evening is BINGO!    Join us for 6:30 bingo calls by Debbie and Mary Alice behind the bar.  Join us for great fun!!  The kitchen is closed Monday, but some basic pub food is available.

Trivia is on this Tuesday.   Test your knowledge against the trivia master, Chick, and the gathered teams!  Mary Alice is behind the bar.   The kitchen will be open 4 - 8PM.   

Wednesday is Ladies billiards night!   Not to be outdone by the guys, the ladies have designated Wednesday as their night!   Steve will be behind the Bar, so join the fun and Angel's Weekly Menu will be available!

Thursday is obviously the golf outing.    Registration opens at 7:30AM, with a shotgun start at 9AM.   A continental breakfast will be available for the golfers.   Raffle stations open first thing in the morning.   There are fabulous prizes to be won!! The NJ Lottery will be at the Post Thursday 2:30-3:30PM. Get some great give aways.

Men, Thursday billiards is going strong.  Bring your cue stick and see how your talent stacks up against the others.  The Kitchen will be open 4-8PM

Friday night is always  an event at the Post!   We welcome the return of T-Bone this week!   Relatively new to the VFW, T-Bone has a great sound and many of you know his sound.  Friday's dinner Menu by Angel is always fantastic!

Sunday will be the highlight of the week, with the Memorial Day Parade and Service.   Charles Gill is the Grand Marshall for the parade.   Please join us as we recognize our lost heroes; join us after the service for refreshments at the Post.  Horse Soldier Bourbon reps will be with us to sample this great bourbon.  

Food is always available Tues through Sat, 4-8PM, with an entree meal on Friday and sandwich fare all days.

 Our Post's Weekly Events!

 

On Sunday's:

Brian will be providing your needs behind the bar and overseeing our "Sunday Spaghetti Dinner, from 3PM to 6PM. Cost is $10:00.

 

On Monday evenings: This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

It's Free Bingo! Stop in at Debbie's Bingo Parlor, for some fun with family and friends.  Debbie's First Call is at 6:30 PM and the last game usually ends between 8:00 & 8:30 PM.  Mary Alice will be behind the Bar taking care of your refreshments. 1/4 lb. Gourmet Hot Dogs, and a bag of chips, are available for $3.00.

 

On Tuesday evenings: This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

From 6:30 to 9:30, round up your family and friend's, make a team and stop by the V and play some Trivia! Chick, will be trying to stump the teams with Questions, that will test your teams knowledge. Mary Alice is behind the Bar to take care of your Beverages and Angel will have a Trivia Treats Menu to satisfy your palate We have more and more teams attending each week, so plan to join the party! It's challenging, a lot of fun, and everyone enjoys the team rivalries! Which Team will be this week's winner?


On Wednesday's: 

It's Ladies billiards night!   Not to be outdone by the guys, the ladies have designated Wednesday as their night!  Join the fun!", From 1PM to 8:30PM. Angel's Weekly Menu will be available for you to enjoy! 

 

On Thursday evenings

From 5:30 to 9:00, get your Pool Cue ready and stop by the Post, to play some Men, Three Ball Pool!  It's a lot of fun, and everyone has a great time seeing who is the best that Night!  Steve will be manning the Bar and Angel's weekly menu is available, starting at 5:30.  First Rack is at 6:30.
