 Hello from Base Camp V! 


Elks Name Commander Mario Perrucci "Citizen of the Year”

At its Annual Installation of Officers Meeting, the Brigantine Elks Lodge 2428, named VFW Post 6964, Commander Mario Perrucci "Citizen of the Year”!!  What a fitting title for the Most Deserving of Brigantine citizens. Mario’s leadership of our VFW Post has been Extraordinary.  Our VFW Post is Very Proud of Mario. The entire Post offers it's Congratulations and Three Cheers to Mario.
The VFW annually recognizes Vietnam Veterans Day, on Thursday March 29th, for our Vietnam Vets, and Provides the Welcome Home These Patriots Never Received, Upon Their Return From the WarBecause March 29th. falls on a Friday this year, our Post has moved the Welcome Home ceremony to Thursday, March 28th.  Please participate in the welcome home greeting and when you see a Vietnam Vet around town, ask the Veteran where they served and about a military buddy they knew in Vietnam.
Post Members, our next Meeting is, Thursday, April 4th., starting at 6:30 PM!  At this weeks meeting,  We will be Electing the Officers to Lead our Post, for 2024-2025.  Please make every effort to attend the meeting!  Remember, this is Your Post and Your Support, Participation and Volunteering, is Needed to Keep and Maintain the High Standard we strive for, as we continue assisting Our Veterans, Those Men & Women on Active Duty and their Families, and Our Community Members, who May Need Assistance.  We want to keep our Post the Best in Atlantic County! 

Veteransif you need assistance with VA Benefits, Compensation, or other items, a VA Certified and Accredited Service Officer, is available to answer your questions at 609-393-1952.


The Post is Open on Mondays, from 3 PM to 10 PM, Tuesday thru Friday, from 1 PM to 10 PM, and Saturdays & Sundays, from 12 PM to 10 PMfor All VFW Members, and their Guests.

Our Post offers Fine Dining every Friday evening, that is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!  Dining Hours are4 PM to 8:30 PM, in the Banquet Hall and Canteen. Joe's Dinner Menu, includes various appetizers, entree's, sides, and deserts, to treat your palate. This Friday evening, features the music of Alex Chernick. We are in for a treat with Alex performing his acoustic style for us. His music talent is a very broad range. He will have a song that touches each one of us.
 So make plans to stop by and give a Big VFW Welcometo Alex, enjoy a Nice Dinner, Music and Beverages, with Family and Friends! The V is the Place To B!

On Saturday afternoon, stop in with Mark and Joe.  The kitchen opens at 4PM with Appetizers, Burgers, and Sandwiches, available until 8 PM.  



RememberOur Post’s Banquet Room is available, to the PUBLIC to RENT, for your Special Occasion.  Call the Post at 609-266-9813, leave your name and phone number, and a House Committee Representative will get back to you, as soon as possible. We want to assist you in planning and making "Your Special Event" Come True.  Look on our website's Gallery to see some pictures of different types of events that have been held at our Banquet Room.

Well it's time for Phillies Baseball!  Opening day against the Atlanta Braves, has been moved to Friday, March 29th, at 3:05PM, due to the threat of rain on Thursday. So why not Plan to Get Together at the Vwith your Friends, Watch the Games, Enjoy our Friday Night Dinner, and Great Liquid Refreshment!


Upcoming Events    

Thursday, March 28th: 
Plan to stop by the V to Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans! 
The Festivities begin at 5PM and conclude between 7 & 8PM.
Sunday, April 14th.:
Post 6964 Welcomes the USAF 177th, Squadron, aka the
"Jersey Devils", for their training conference!

Saturday May 11th:
Spring Arts and Craft Fest! You can set up your tables Inside the Banquet Hall or Outside in our side yard. Event Flyer on facebook. Email to reserve a spot!

Thursday, May 23rd:
The Post has begun planning activities for its 3rd. Annual VFW Post 6964 Golf Outing Fundraiser, at the Brigantine Links Golf Course.  Sponsorship and Golfer registration information has been released. Foursomes are limited to 120 Golfers. At this time, we have 44 Golfers Registered. That leaves 76 openings left!   Registration Deadline is 5PM, May 10th. Tee Off at 9AM., Lunch and Awards start at 2PM. Stay tuned as more details to follow. Start getting your golf swing perfected!
Saturday, May 26th:
Annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony.  Additional info to follow.
Friday, June 21st:
The  4th. Annual Flounder Fishing Fiasco Tournament starts at 12:01 AM Friday, June 21st., and ending on Sunday, June 23rd at 11:45. Lunch and Awards at the Post at 1PM. More
information to follow in the coming weeks.
Saturday, July 20th:
The Jimmy Buffet Party. Plan to come to the V and enjoy his Tropical Rock Sound, and the Sounds of the Margaritaville  
Lifestyle!  Additional info to follow.


 Our Post's Weekly Events!


On Sunday's:

Brian will be providing your needs behind the bar and overseeing our Donation Buffet, that starts at 1PM.


On Monday evenings: 

It's Free Bingo! Stop in at Steve's Bingo Parlor, for some fun with family and friends.  Charisse's First Call is at 6:30 PM and the last game usually ends between 8:00 & 8:30 PM.  1/4 lb. Gourmet Hot Dogs, and a bag of chips, are available for $2.50.


On Tuesday evenings:

From 6:30 to 9:30, round up your family and friend's, make a team and stop by the V and play some Trivia!  Barb Grube or Chick Leiby will be trying to stump the teams with Questions, that will test your teams knowledge. Leo is behind the Bar to take care of your Beverages and Joe will have a Trivia Treats Menu to satisfy your palate We have more and more teams attending each week, so plan to join the party! It's challenging, a lot of fun, and everyone enjoys the team rivalries! Which Team will be this week's winner?

On Wednesday's: 

It's "Wednesday With Joe", From 1PM to 8:30PM. Joe, will be serving his famous "Wednesday Menu" that includes: an array of Appetizers, $1.00 Hot Dogs, and $5.00 Mouth Watering Hamburgers, for all to enjoy!  Get a 50% Discount on Additional Eats, from 1 to 3 PM!


On Thursday evenings

From 5:30 to 9:00, get your Pool Cue ready and stop by the Post, to play some Three Ball Pool!  It's a lot of fun, for both Men and Women, and everyone has a great time seeing who is the best that Night!  Steve will be manning the Bar and Joe will have Appetizers, Sandwiches + $7 Cheesesteaks, available at 5:30.  First Rack is at 6:30.
