VFW Members have a long standing tradition of adapting and overcoming adversity to provide disaster relief to our communities. As Hurricane Ida passed through our state it caused major flooding and tornado damage in some areas. I am asking our Posts & members to check on each other and assist them and the community when possible.

The Governor has declared a State of Emergency and we are awaiting a Federal Declaration of Disaster.

The VFW State HQ was closed today by order of the Governor (we are in a state building) and hope to re-open tomorrow 9/3.
